GMAT and GRE General Test

GMAT/GRE General Test increases your chances of securing a place on the programme, but is not a mandatory requirement. Your GRE score will be transferred to an equivalent GMAT score. See here https://www.ets.org/gre/institutions/about/mba/comparison_tool/

Prepare for the exam

Candidates are advised to study for the exam for 30-45 days before taking it. Official test preparation materials are available for free online:

Submitting test result

See the Graduate School admisson website for deadline in regards to submitting the test result. The GMAT or GRE General Test result must not be older than 5 years on the last date for application.

For both the GMAT or GRE General Test you have the possibility to send the test score to a number of universities worldwide. Graduate School only accepts your score if it is sent by test center. We do not accept paper copies of your score. For GRE General Test the code is 7303 to send your test score to the Master programmes at Graduate School. If you cannot choose the code, please choose University of Gothenburg, School of Business, Economics and Law.

See codes below for sending your GMAT test score. Please note that even if you apply for more than one master programme you only need to send the GMAT score to one master programme at Graduate School.

Selection of students

The selection of students for Master’s programmes is based on two groups:

Group 1 (prioritized)
Students are ranked by their GMAT/GRE General Test result (GRE result is transferred to a GMAT score). 350 is minimum score required (lower score will be place in selection group 2).

Group 2 (secondary)
Students are ranked by number of university credits.
