Research Centres:
Centre for Business in Society
The Centre works to promote and underpin research and training relating to how respect for environmental and social issues is integrated in companies' strategic and operational processes.

Centre for Business Solutions
The mission is to ensure the students' future competence as clients and users of IT-related products and services.

Centre for Consumer Science

The Centre for Consumer Science, CFK, was established in 2001 and is the biggest research centre in Sweden operating in the field of consumer research.

Centre for Finance
The Centre initiate, support and conduct multidisciplinary research on financial markets.


Centre for Global Human Resource Management
CGHRM promotes Swedish competitiveness through research that increases human knowledge, improves organizations’ and individuals' competences, and promotes a sustainable and balanced work life.


Centre for Health Economics
Health Economics applies and develops economic theory and methods on issues related to people’s health. It is a centre for collaboration in health economics among researchers from different disciplines, departments and schools.

Centre for International Business Studies
The CIBS is a multidisciplinary research group conducting research in different issues related to international business, e.g. the internationalization of Swedish enterprise, international trade, foreign direct investment and global production networks.

Centre for Regional Analysis
The purpose of CRA is to supply knowledge of different issues of local and regional prerequisites for the competetitiveness of "Västra Götaland".

Centre for Retailing
The purpose of the CFR is to promote and support research, training and contact with trade and industry, to enhance awareness of the significance of retailing and to stimulate interest in retailing as a phenomenon in society.

Centre for Tourism
The mission is to initiate, develop, and support increased knowledge development and professionalisation within the tourism field.

Gothenburg Centre for Globalization and Development
The Centre conducts and promotes research on how globalization processes affect development in the South, and seeks to identify appropriate domestic and international policy responses. The Centre is an interdisciplinary organization with participation from several faculties at the University of Gothenburg.

 

Associated centres
Business & Design Lab
Business and Design Lab's purpose is to engage in targeted cooperation with the surrounding community to assist in its development as a growing and more sustainable region – with help of design. Business and Design Lab is a partnership between the Faculty of Art and the Academy of Design and Crafts and the School of Business, Economics and Law.

 

Lighthouse
The mission of Lighthouse is to communicate new competence in areas that is of future interest to the Swedish shipping industry. A cooperation between the Swedish Shipowners' Association, School of Business, Economics and Law at University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology.
